Tutoring Services
My tutoring services are for reading, writing, and math.
I provide individualized tutoring for students.
Services are offered on
a year round basis and
are available on
weekends.
Client Population
People who are diagnosed with learning disabilities in grades
K-12, and adults. Students in private schools, Fairfax County
Public Schools, FCPS, Arlington County Schools, APS and
Montgomery County Public Schools, MCPS.
Methods for Success
My tutoring methods are individualized and focus on
alternative teaching methods that enhance organization. I
help students identify and apply their learning strengths
toward their weaknesses and develop time saving learning
strategies.
“I like how you always get
John Toker as the tutor.
Other places, also, have
highly skilled learning
specialists, but they are
usually too busy to work
with the kids.” (a teacher)
“My daughter used to avoid
reading and had trouble with
math. After working with John,
she now likes to read and does
well in math. He understands how
she can learn best and makes it
fun.” (a parent)
“I never thought I'd like to
read and write about stuff.
It was annoying and now I
like it.” (a student)
